thermoshrink PVC film is a film manufactured from a mix whose basic component is polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The other components include flexibilisers, stabilisers, anti-blocking and anti-slip components, and optionally, colouring substances. Thermoshrinking PVC film is widely applied to packaging articles from many market sectors, primarily including poultry producers, bakers and confectioners, chocolate producers, cosmetic and chemical industries, stationary and printing industries, manufacturers of plastic goods (e.g. toys), as well as companies providing packaging services, logistic companies and hypermarkets. Heat-shrinkable PVC film has a low sealing temperature, high tear resistance and a high degree of transparency.

The wrapping is performed by way of heat-shrinking with the use of proper packaging equipment. Given its very good shrinking capabilities at a relatively low temperature (80–120°C), as well as its thinness, heat-shrinkable PVC film is used mainly for packaging low weight and size products such as promotional packages, puzzle games, board games, cosmetics, personal hygiene articles, CDs, audiotapes and videotapes, books, office supplies, photo albums, plastic goods, as well as chocolate and cookie boxes and bread.
PVC film packaging is an effective protection against dirt and damage, and makes the products look nicer. It is non-toxic and may be recycled. PVC waste may be burnt and the calorific value of this waste is comparable to that of a coal mine (approximately 4,500 kcal/kg). Thickness of the Eurofilms film is from 15 to 40 microns, width – from 200 to 1200 mm, with crosswise and longwise shrink – up to 45%. The heat-shrinkable PVC film has a safety certificate issued by the Central Authority of Monitoring Packaging Development (Centralny Ośrodek Badania Rozwoju Opakowań, COBRO), allowing contact with food.
