Insulating films
We offer the following PVC films:
  • IZOFOL water insulating films and BIFOL bitumen and oil-proof films
  • sealing water reservoirs, from artificial ponds to channels, riverbanks, bulkheads and anti-filtration cores;
  • sealing large surfaces of highly permeable soils;
  • protection of areas in vicinity of ground-level or underground fuel tanks (e.g. in filling stations). Good chemical resistance provides protection also against many other substances (IZOFOL and BIFOL films).
  • insulating waste landfills.

Centralny Ośrodek Badawczo-Rozwojowy Przemysłu Izolacji Budowlanej granted IZOFOL insulating films manufactured by ERGIS-EUROFILMS S.A a right to use the CE mark.

ERGIS-EUROFILMS S.A. is one of the first manufacturers in Poland to produce moisture-resistant and water-resistant insulating products that meet European requirements put for this group of construction products (EN 13967) and obtained a European certificate that enables placing of the CE mark on products.

The CE mark, as a consequence of the New Approach Directives coming into force, is a passport for the products originating from the EU entitling them to enter the Community markets. All EU member states must use unified technical parameters of their products. Thanks to all-European CE declaration of conformity every manufacturer is fully responsible for meeting of required parameters by a product.

Every manufacturer within the EU must meet the same criteria and include them in the product technical sheet. It enables product quality control as well as comparison of various products designed for the same application. For distributors, sellers, architects, investors and contractors it is a great facilitation enabling the selection of a product the quality of which is confirmed by special institutions. In case of insulating films, since October 1st the CE mark has become obligatory for use in trade of these films in the EU markets.

The CE mark on the IZOFOL insulating film roll is a warranty of quality and meeting of European harmonised standards by ERGIS-EUROFILMS S.A. ERGIS-EUROFILMS S.A. ensures that in connection with the introduction of the CE mark neither the insulating films composition nor their production process have been changed.

Product advantages:

  • high flexibility (geomembranes adjust to the shape of object/ground whereas PEHD films, due to their rigidity, often 'hang in the air' between bumps; in case of waste such behaviour results in stretching of the film and leads to destruction);
  • geomembranes have higher friction factor than PEHD: this is crucial for insulation of slopes and inclines (average factor for geomembranes is 0.40 while for PEHD 0.30); calendered on one or both sides improving the friction factor
  • calendered on one or both sides improving the friction factor;
  • tightness guarantee - PVC geomembrane is produced by doubling two or more layers of film - this gives full guarantee of tightness,
  • volume density greater than that of water: this feature is especially important in hydro-insulation and in the case of ground waters reaching higher than the bottom of the reservoir; in such settings PEHD may float and requires anchoring.
